The 2023 International Experimental Photography Festival stood out for two key innovations: the IEFC-EXP-UB International Experimentation Residency, with 9 artists for 10 days in Barcelona, ​​and international exhibitions in collaboration with institutions that selected festival artists to exhibit throughout the world. 51 artists from 32 countries participated, offering 62 in-person workshops, 12 introductory courses, 8 online workshops, 5 portfolio viewings, 16 conferences and 16 exhibitions. A total of 211 in-person participants, 108 virtual and 8,000 in free activities. For the first time, a worker from the European Union's Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs program contributed to thinking about the international dimension of the festival. Institutional consolidation allowed free activities to be expanded, with workshops being the only paid ones. Managing nearly €60,000, the festival benefited artists, spaces and suppliers.
