Professional Experimental Techniques

Duration: 2 months | Start date: October 1

How do I sign up?

This course is part of the first block of the Diploma in Experimental Photography, a creative journey designed to help you develop your style and take your images to the next level. Here, we explore unconventional processes, creative resources, and techniques that will open up a world of possibilities. The most rewarding part is experiencing it as part of the full Diploma, connecting lessons learned, building experiences, and growing step by step. However, if you only want to focus on this module right now, you can also enroll separately for €125.

To what extent can you reinvent photography with your own hands?

Designed for those who wish to take their experimental practice to a professional level, this course offers a tour of specialized techniques and complex processesthat require precision, technical knowledge, and a more conscious approach to the photographic medium. Over eight sessions, we will combine lectures and workshops, both live and pre-recorded, to explore practices such as photo transfer, mordançage, color ecological photography, metallic silkscreen, and advanced chemigrames. We will also address how to shape and circulate our projectsthrough photobooks and experimental exhibitions. We will conclude with a live session to share the created works and reflect on how to build a solid practice with its own voice, in addition to lectures that will help us begin to think about the final product we want to give our images.
