La magia de la química fotográfica
Ramos Molina, Antonio Luís
The present research project focuses on a photographic technique that often blurs the line between photography and painting: the Chemigram. This is an artistic procedure for creating images based on creativity rooted in photographic chemistry rather than in light, where the final result aligns more closely with a pictorial conception than a photographic one, as traditionally understood. This work aims to delve into the historical development of the chemigram, from its origins to the present day, as a genre of expression and photographic creation within the realm of cameraless photography and creative photography. From this proposal, we not only define that the chemigram is more than a research process resulting from the creative application of chemicals on photographic paper, whether through painting, spraying, printing, etc., but we also present this technique as a means of creation and communication. It is a new artistic genre that is technically situated within the photographic medium, capable of offering results that are visually considered pictorial.
