It is possible to take photographs without a camera, but it is impossible to create images without light." This basic principle of photographic creation is the foundation of this book, which examines the history of the photogram (and other laboratory techniques) that have been traditionally marginalized and ignored in standard photography histories. This is the first history of the photogram published in Spanish (and in other languages), with the added benefit of adapting to Spanish and reproducing countless texts on the photogram (and adjacent techniques), previously unpublished in our language, along with their corresponding historical framework. It also analyzes the most significant aspects of the photogram from the second half of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st century.
