Julie is a self-taught artist who works with collage and photography. Her work focuses on interwoven photographic tapestries that portray urban and industrial landscapes, revealing the human imprint through historic structures. Each piece is created from photographs taken from different angles, which are then manually cut and interwoven. This meticulous process allows him to explore multiple perspectives and create images that invite slower, deeper observation.
During the pandemic, she experimented with spray paint, shape, and texture, resulting in a series of digital collages marked by abstraction and personal transformation.
For the past four months, I’ve been learning new techniques through the Agora School of Experimental Photography. It’s been amazing! I’ve been trying to absorb as much information as possible, but it will take time. The last live session I attended was fantastic, and the advice from Pablo and Stig was incredibly helpful. The next two months will be the mentorship phase, where I’ll work on bringing concept and craft together.
