About the event

The IPFA Award 2025 collective exhibition brings together the 50 finalists selected through the international open call organized by the International Photography Festivals Association. The award functions as a global platform that connects photographers with festival directors, curators, and audiences, fostering visibility, exchange, and professional opportunities across international contexts.

The works presented in this exhibition emerge from a wide range of geographic, cultural, and conceptual backgrounds. With an open thematic framework, the call welcomed projects across multiple photographic approaches, including documentary, contemporary, experimental, analogue, urban, and conceptual practices, reflecting the diversity of today’s international photographic landscape.

The exhibition unfolds as a constellation of perspectives. Each project represents an individual voice, and together they form a collective snapshot of contemporary photography, shaped by personal experiences, social concerns, formal experimentation, and hybrid visual languages.

Through the selection process, projects are reviewed by an international network of festival curators, enabling solo exhibitions across member festivals as well as this collective touring show, which begins in Barcelona and continues across partner festivals worldwide. This exhibition has been made possible thanks to the collaboration of 20 international festival directors and curators and the International Photography Festivals Association. Their joint effort reflects a shared commitment to democratizing and internationalising access to photography, creating opportunities for artists from diverse contexts to present their work within a global festival platform.

The exhibition features works by Adam Urban, Alena Grom, Alessandro Silverj, Alex Bex, Ana Sabiá, Areca Roe, Armando Tinnirello, Atsushi Momoi, Camilla Di Bella Vecchi, Christine August, Claudia Lareu, Diana Cheren Nygren, Dina Goldstein, Dries Theuwissen, Edward Thompson, Elisa Iannacone, Elena Paraskeva, Ema Lančaričová, Guilhem Touya, Henri Blommers, Isaac Ulam, Ivan Ryaskov, Iván Ibáñez, Jean-Louis N’cho, Josefine Rauch, Kirill Muniabin, Lọlá Ákínmádé Åkerström, Lucy Ridges, Maria de la Paz Gutierrez, Maria Maza, Matilde Gattoni, Monia Marchionni, Nicola Muirhead, Paco Guillem, Pavlo Fyshar, Pierre-Yves Cruaud, Rashed Haq, Rodrigo Abd, Seunggu Kim, Steven Benson, Sveta Kaverina, Synchrotania, Tahné Kleijn, Tamas Dragon, Thibault Belouis, Tommi Viitala, Valentina Sinis, Vlada, Wolfgang Zurborn, and Zexuan Zeng.
