Experimental photography, given its innovative and creative nature, is a field that is difficult to categorize into strict categories. However, we can identify various approaches within this discipline. For example, some focus on positive image processing, exploring techniques to manipulate and transform photographs into unique and expressive forms. Others delve into digital art, using the power of computers to create original and evocative visual compositions. There is also interest in the pioneering techniques of early photographers, as well as the use of analog cameras and the research possibilities that stem from these practices. Additionally, working with mixed visual techniques, combining different media and approaches, also represents an area of interest within experimental photography.
Specialization courses in experimental photography are designed to immerse participants in one of these specific approaches. Each course offers the opportunity to thoroughly explore a particular approach, providing students with the tools and knowledge necessary to develop their own practice within this field.
